U Ethical recognised at the ‘Oscars’ for purpose-led businesses at the 2019 Shared Value Awards

30 October 2019.
We were delighted to have our ‘investing with purpose’ ethos recognised recently at the 2019 Shared Value Awards. Established in 2016, the awards acknowledge organisations having a measurable impact on a social or environmental issue and creating economic value in the process. Our submission was highly commended in the ‘small or medium organisation leading through shared value’ category.
Introducing the awards, Shared Value Project CEO Helen Steel said: “Our social and environmental issues have never been greater. Civilians’ calls for change have never been so prolific. And the imperative for corporations to act is most acute. The only question, in this defining moment for business, is whether to lead or to follow.
“I congratulate the individuals and companies shortlisted for the Awards, and applaud their courageous leadership in taking a new kind of shared value-oriented capitalism forward.”
