Our history

Our first funds were established in 1985 and over recent years we have grown steadily to become one of the largest dedicated ethical investment managers in Australia. We have developed a reputation for our unwavering commitment to ethics-driven performance.

Two investment products are created by the Uniting Church

One defensive, one growth – to enable the management of its financial assets in an ethical way.

An additional purpose for the funds is introduced

To further the mission of the Uniting Church by making an annual community contribution. To date, we have contributed more than $65 million.

Uniting Growth Fund Limited

Uniting Growth Fund Limited (now U Ethical) is incorporated and granted an Australian Financial Services Licence in 2005.

UCA Funds Management

With a change to the corporate structure, the UCA Funds Management brand is born.

$1 billion in funds under management

UCA Funds Management reaches $1 billion in funds under management.

U Ethical - investing with purpose

In a move to expand ethical investing further into the mainstream, UCA Funds Management becomes U Ethical – with a promise to invest with purpose.
